About Jae Beasley
Director of School Safety & Retired Special Agent
Jae Beasley is a nationally experienced school safety professional with more than 25 years of expertise spanning education, law enforcement, emergency preparedness, and threat assessment. As the Director of School Safety for the Clark County School District—the nation's fifth-largest school district—he leads comprehensive safety initiatives designed to protect more than 300,000 students and thousands of educators across Southern Nevada.
Jae retired after serving over 20 years as a Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), where he investigated a broad range of complex federal, state, and local crimes, including domestic and international terrorism. Jae served as the Crisis Negotiator and Threat Assessment Coordinator for FBI Las Vegas, and as the liaison to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department teams.
Before joining the FBI, Jae served as a high school classroom teacher in northeastern Ohio and Broward County, Florida. While in the FBI, he instructed criminal justice courses in both traditional classroom and online settings. His combined experience as an educator and as an international, federal, state, and local law enforcement professional provides a unique perspective on professional development, behavioral threat assessment, crisis management, investigative practices, and organizational security. This diverse background enables Jae to deliver practical, experience-driven training and consulting tailored to the needs of educational institutions.
Throughout his career, Jae has been committed to creating safe, supportive learning environments through proactive planning, collaborative partnerships, and evidence-based safety strategies. His areas of expertise include school safety and security, behavioral threat assessment, emergency operations planning, active assailant preparedness, physical security assessments, crisis response, investigations, and organizational leadership.
Jae holds a Master of Arts in Criminology, Law, and Society from the University of California, Irvine, a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Capella University, a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Management from Ohio University, He also studied secondary education and English at Cleveland State University. His combination of education, teaching experience, federal investigative service, and executive school safety leadership makes him a trusted advisor to schools, districts, and educational organizations seeking to strengthen their safety culture and preparedness.
