Professional Development

Our professional development courses can be delivered exclusively to an individual school or district or presented as regional workshops serving multiple educational organizations.

Training is most effective when participants represent diverse schools, and professional backgrounds. This collaborative learning environment encourages the exchange of ideas, promotes innovative problem-solving, and provides participants with practical strategies that can be adapted to their own campuses.

Preventing Targeted Violence Series

The Preventing Targeted Violence (PTV) Series is a three-course professional development program that equips educators and school personnel with the knowledge and skills needed to recognize, report, and respond to behaviors associated with targeted violence.

Participants learn how individuals often progress along a pathway toward violence through identifiable stages of consideration, planning, and preparation. Recognizing these warning signs creates opportunities for early intervention and the implementation of effective support services before violence occurs.

Through current research and practical examples, participants learn how to recognize warning signs, accurately document concerning behaviors, report threats appropriately, and connect individuals with appropriate intervention resources.
